Our Team

Meet Our Team

Electric City Physiotherapy was founded by a team of two practitioners who had a vision to create a practice unlike any other: one where the highest trained physicians come together to provide individualized patient care using the best treatment methods available.

Physiotherapist Kylie Gibson and orthopaedic specialist Dr. Dobson originally met working with elite athletes at Trent University in Peterborough. Over the past 6 years Kylie Gibson has been working in high performance sport with our national team athletes from a variety of sports in preparation for international competition, including Olympic and Paralympic Games. Today, the two practitioners have reconnected to create Electric City Physiotherapy where their shared expertise provides total rehabilitation and recovery under one roof. Kylie Gibson and Dr. Dobson are leaders in their fields alongside our team of physiotherapists, massage therapists, orthopaedic technologists, and rehabilitation specialists.

We are patient-centred at Electric City Physiotherapy. Rehabilitation and recovery are at the core of what we do, but we strive to serve each patient far beyond the rehabilitation of an injury. Our practitioners provide individualized care, measured goal setting and treatment for all patients regardless of age, activity level or condition. Patient education and empowering independence are at the core of our united treatment philosophy.

The many Olympic and Paralympic medalists that have worked with Kylie all agree that her enthusiasm, skill and evidence-informed approach to therapy are unparalleled. During her tenure at CSIO Kylie collaborated closely with leading sport medicine physicians and therapists from across the country to create systems of care for the current and next generation of Team Canada’s athletes. Kylie is well known in the area for her previous work at Trent University with both the varsity athletes/teams as well as members of the community.
